The movie starts off showing Spencer texting a group chat on his phone making plans to go out for food. Spencer, Bethany, Fridge and Martha all agree to go out, so the next day they meet at the restaurant when they go inside they realize Spencer does not show up, so they go to his house to find out where he is and to check up on him. They see his grandpa and they ask where is Spencer, the grandpa tells them he is down stairs so they go down stairs to check on him. When they go down there they see a reconstructed jumanji gaming console rebuilt with glue, it is sparking his jumper is next to it so it seems that he has went into the game again.
They realize they have to go in and get him so they go up to the game and press start on the controller, they get sucked in, they fall into the world off jumanji, they are all random characters this time. They do not get to choose them like last time they went in, they need to get them gem again like the first time they went into the game and also find Spencer , they get a step by step run through how to do it by the travel guide, they start there journey to get to the gem.
While there walking to the camp they run into a heard off animals, the animals start to chase them but the get away in the end by hiding under big rocks. After hours off walking through rough sandy conditions, They get to the camp where the gem is hidden when they find them gem in the guards room they go to grab it, when the lights dim and there is commotion, when the lights turn back on there is a new character in the room it is Spencer he saw them walking in earlier. They all make a plan on what there gonna do and how there gonna follow thorough with it. They tell Spencer and frank to stay and guard so no one comes while they take the gem from the locked case, someone comes past while there guarding to see whats going on and Spencer punches him and knock him out and frank starts screaming at him saying what are you doing, by now people have heard them arguing, more people come, Spencer proceeds to beat up all the guards, that works and the escape but Bethany gets captured so they have to go and get her back before they leave the game.
The king is guarding the prisoner waiting for them to try and get him back. When they get there Spencer and the king fight. Spencer wins the get there friend they all say the word jumunji and they get teleport-ed home after that it is a cut scene and it goes to them eating dinner together as they discussed at the start off the movie the end.
